Mood board Inspiration

The days are getting colder and the sun ist not as present anymore. The last few sunny days end of September are gone and my productive time starts again to get a hold of me. How do I start a new project? What kind of project should it be? I am going to start the development of new print designs but the question is, do I also start making a new collection? At the beginning of a new project there is always the question about the topic and the purpose of the style and the design aspects. I let myself follow my intuition, gathering research for possible moods. It is not yet clear if I am designing only print designs or a whole new collection. My options are open and ready to explore.

  1. get into the mood of being creative
  2. gather research, old photographs, forgotten photographs on your computer
  3. putting together a few pages in a sketchbook – mine is A3, you could also use your computer for mood boards but I feel I am more in a creative space when I physically see how pictures fit together
  4. looking for other items than photographs for example dried flowers, wool, fabric samples, coloured paper

My mood is going to be floral, dreamy and focusing on structures and materials. Here are some mood board examples that I created in the process.
